Demi Lovato Rocks Two Sexy Dresses For People’s Choice Awards: Best Look?
Demi Lovato once again showed off her glamorous and sexy style with not one, but two ensembles for the People’s Choice Awards 2012 last night at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The reason for her quick-change? Well, the “Skyscraper” singer was performing her newest single, “Give Your Heart A Break,” which was actually met with mixed reviews — some not so positive. That aside, was there a clear winner in Lovato’s style showdown? It’s definitely a hard call, as she looked stunning in both dresses, although they really could not have been more different, nor could her beauty choices that accompanied them.
First up on the red carpet was a floor-sweeping, strapless, sherbet-hued confection by Marchesa, complete with a jewel-embellished bodice, a sparkling beaded clutch and metallic peep-toe heels, as Fab Sugar reports. The deliciously colored dress was perfect for Lovato’s ever-so-lightly bronzed skin. Her newly red locks were bundled up in a thoroughly modern knot-like updo that was perfect, as it cleanly and simply allowed the gown to do all the talking. But what a difference a dress can make! Demi Lovato transformed from a sophisticated goddess to a sultry firecracker for her stage time at the People’s Choice Awards. The 19-year-old slipped on a crimson Issa dress paired with red Jimmy Choo shoes, according to Just Jared. The frock featured a plunging neckline, lace detail at the hem and was rendered in the mullet style (short in the front and long in the back — like the hairdo). Lovato’s own hair was released from its knotted style and cascaded in long flowing curls around her face. The red tinge of her strands definitely played well with the dress, as did her punch of red lipstick!Demi Lovato not only scored with her two fashion statements, she also took home the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Pop Artist. Talk about a trophy night!
The film is a two handed look at Wallis; the story is told through the prism of a modern American, Wally Winthrop (her mother was such a fan that she was named after Wallis) who – as her marriage collapses around her – becomes obsessed with the story of what she considers the greatest love affair of the 20th century.Like Madonna before her, Wally becomes entranced with the minutiae of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s lives as their possessions go on sale at Sothebys. In 1998 a sale of just some of their possessions reached 15million.Wally discovers the prosaic truths behind their romance as she reads their private letters. With Madonna – a self-confessed control freak – micro-managing as director, writer, and with a producer credit, filming did not get off to a good start.Several actors, including Ewan McGregor and Margo Stilley, changed their mind about taking roles before they had even reached the set. And another producer, David Parfitt, and casting expert Nina Gold both also walked out citing creative differences with Madonna .
